Fairtrade helps directly be reducing poverty in the countries where the flowers are being cultivated.

There are five main reasons for Fairtrade:

- Direct trade for social and ecological development.
- Improved working conditions and more influence for the farmers.
- Environmentaly gentle production and ban on the usage of genetic engineering.
- Independet certification and control system.
- For better living, work and environmental conditions.
